Origin Adds Twitch Streaming Support

EA announced that it would be adding games streaming support into Origin in the coming days. The publisher has partnered with Twitch to provide the service, which will allow users to stream games directly from Origin with just a few clicks.
Streaming games will be possible by bringing up Origin In Game and clicking on the 'camera icon' at the bottom of the screen. Users must then log into their Twitch account to start streaming, which will also automatically generate a stream on their Twitch profile page. While streaming, Origin will show the number of people watching the broadcast, and how long a user has been streaming for. The HUD can be turned off in the options menu, where users will also be to select the broadcast resolution and framerate.

In addition to that, EA is promsing a number of other updates, as well. Now, users will be able to add non-Origin games and stream them, too. Improvements to the Friends List have also been made, making it faster to load, and allow it to be stretched horizontally to accommodate long IDs, status updates, and real names.

EA says the new Origin update will be rolled out in "in the coming days", with priority given to those who had opted in to beta updates.
