Buyers Guide: High-End Intel Gaming PC Configuration
It's easy to get carried away when someone hands you a healthy budget for picking computer parts. We think this quarter's high-end Intel-based gaming PC balances all of the pieces smartly, though. An unlocked Core i5-2500K processor is the foundation for a potent build, and a Gigabyte Z68-based motherboard is interesting as well for its built-in 20 GB SSD. To that we add a 120 GB Agility 3 SSD and 2 TB of conventional storage for user data. A pair of GeForce GTX 580s naturally take center stage, though, driving unprecedented frame rates in your favorite titles. A special congratulations to forum member sadams04 for having his (second) recommended build picked by the Tom's Hardware community this quarter!
